kkuyakam: Cut-A-Thon For Children with Cancer Calling all Torontonians! I will be covering this event in June and everyone should come out and support the cause! Join the Facebook Event and reblog! Seven Hair Salon at 7 Yorkville Avenue, Toronto On Saturday June, 8th 2013  Time is 9am - 4pm $15 for either: Haircut, Styling or blow dry. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Sian Bradwell Fund at the annual Sian Bradwell Soft ball tournament June 15th 2013. Our hairstylist and makeup artist Seven (Sarah) Espiritu will be participating in the tournament in support of this great cause. About the cause: Sîan (pronounced “SHAHN”, a Welsh Gaelic name meaning “precious gift of God”) was diagnosed on May 1st, 1985 as having a form of cancer called ‘primitive neuroectodermal tumour’ in her liver, spine and foot and which spread through her bloodstream. Her parents had never heard of children’s cancer before Sîan got sick, but learnt at a great cost how deadly it can be.Sharon and Ken Bradwell established the Sîan Bradwell Fund on October 3rd, 1990 – the 6th anniversary of Sian’s birth – to help children with cancer at the Montreal Children’s hospital with the intent to purchase medical equipment for the better diagnosis and treatment of children with cancer.
